1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Conservative States. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Conservative States, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) governing your access to and use of the Conservative States web application, including any content, functionality, and services offered (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

The Service is intended for use by residents of the United States. We make no representations that the Service is appropriate or available for use in other locations.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each user may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or rate limits is prohibited.

4. Description of Service

Conservative States provides a platform that enables users to:

  • Browse and search state legislative bills and their status
  • Track bills of interest and receive notifications about updates
  • View information about state legislators and their voting records
  • Send emails to legislators through connected email accounts
  • Access AI-powered bill analysis and summaries

Legislative data is sourced from LegiScan and official state government sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the Service for lawful purposes consistent with civic engagement, including researching legislation, communicating with your elected representatives, and staying informed about legislative activity.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service to send spam, harassing, threatening, or abusive communications
  • Send mass unsolicited emails or exceed reasonable communication limits
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the Service in an unauthorized manner
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without authorization
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or other harmful code
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

5.3 Email Communication Standards

When using the Service to email legislators, you agree to:

  • Communicate respectfully and professionally
  • Only email legislators who represent your district or have jurisdiction over matters affecting you
  • Provide accurate contact information in your communications
  • Comply with all applicable laws regarding electronic communications
  • Respect rate limits designed to prevent abuse

6. Third-Party Services and Integrations

6.1 Email Service Connections

The Service allows you to connect your Google Gmail or Microsoft Outlook account to send emails to legislators. By connecting these accounts, you authorize us to send emails on your behalf. Your use of these third-party services is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

6.2 Data Sources

Legislative data is provided by LegiScan and official state government sources. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party data.

6.3 AI-Generated Content

The Service may provide AI-generated bill summaries and analysis. This content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal advice. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content and third-party data), features, and functionality are owned by Conservative States, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our prior written consent.

7.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create through the Service (such as emails you compose). By using the Service to send communications, you grant us a limited license to process and transmit that content as necessary to provide the Service.

7.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable license to use such feedback without compensation to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected
  • Legislative data is complete, current, or accurate
  • Emails sent through the Service will be delivered or received

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CONSERVATIVE STATES, LLC, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
  • Failure of emails to be delivered to intended recipients
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in legislative data or AI-generated content

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Conservative States, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
  • Any content you submit or transmit through the Service
  • Your communications with legislators or other third parties

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, you agree to submit to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between us individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes.

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Conservative States, LLC regarding your use of the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
